2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following data when you use CourseForge AI:

• Account data: Your email address and name when you sign up
• Usage data: Projects you create, course designs you generate, credits used
• Payment data: Subscription and billing information processed by LemonSqueezy (we do not store card details)
• Document data: Text extracted from PDFs or pasted documents you upload for AI context
• AI generation data: Your intake form inputs and AI-generated outputs

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the CourseForge AI service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send service-related communications (account, billing)
• To generate AI-powered course designs using your intake data
• To monitor platform usage and prevent abuse

4. AI Processing

Your intake data and documents are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate course designs. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. We recommend not uploading sensitive personal data or confidential proprietary information in your documents.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the ap-northeast-1 Tokyo region). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Anthropic (Claude API) — AI generation
• LemonSqueezy — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and deployment

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights:

• Right to portability — receive your data in a portable format

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication purposes (managed by Supabase). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Credit transaction logs are retained for 12 months for billing dispute purposes.
